NOTD: Paw-fect Purple..... OPI Rumples Wiggin

So as promised here is my NOTD. The base coat is OPI Rumples Wiggin which is from their Shrek collection. I absolutely love this purple, it's a perfect pastel without being too pale. I had it plain for a few days so decided to stamp it with my Konad plate. I used plate M10 which is super cute and has a couple of dogs, paw prints and some random sponge shaped superheros. I used Rimmel Strawberry Fizz which smells of strawberries!!!!

I absolutely love my nails and I got loads of compliments on them!

I hope you like them!

Bye for now :)

Retro Photography...

So a month or so ago my dad very kindly gave me his old Olympus OM10 SLR camera, it's retro as it obviously takes film. I proceeded to spend quite a lot of money on flashes/lenses and went snapping away with a black and white film.

I sent the film away a couple of weeks ago to fujifilm to be developed. They unfortunately had a problem with their developing machines so it took a bit longer than usual but i've been really impressed with their customer service! They sent me an email to let me know it was dispatched today so hopefully I should receive my prints back tomorrow or Friday.

I don't have high hopes as it's my first ever film with manuel focussing etc. but I will definitely post some pictures once I get them!

So anyone else jumping on the retro bandwagon?? I want to get a Diana Lomography camera next!

I have also just painted my nails and stamped them with a super cool Konad plate so look forward to a NOTD soon!

Bye for now! :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1: Review.

Well, I went to watch the first part of the last Harry Potter last night. It was absolutely brilliant!! I am the first to criticise when it comes to Harry Potter, I notice all the little changes from the books and it does usually annoy me. However although there were some significant changes, the majority of the film was true to the book, and I think this was probably helped by the face they've been able to split it up.

It ended in a good place, although an annoying cliffhanger but I suppose that's to be expected! The only annoying thing now is that we have to wait until July for the next installment. In my opinion this is a ridiculously long time and is not necessary at all. I think if the next installment came out in March/April that would be an acceptable wait, not 8 months away.

Anyway I digress, overall I thought this was the best film of the series, and hopefully it can only get better. Especially as the second half of the book is more action packed. If you are a sort of Harry Potter fan and not a huge geek like me I would definitely recommend the film, it's a good Harry Potter film and if you've enjoyed the other ones, you'll enjoy this one!

Anyway I've got a few NOTD's coming up soon!

Bye for now! :)

Harry Potter...

So hands up who else is excited about the first part of the final installment this Friday?? I for one am EXTREMELY excited. I am a huge Potter head, and probably know the story inside out. I've started reading the last book for the 5th time just to keep myself up to date. I am still disappointed that they are splitting the film up, I think splitting it up is fine but keeping the films nearly 8 months apart is just ridiculous. Everyone knows they have filmed the whole film and it would be nice to watch it a bit sooner than 8 months away.

Anyway enough of that. I am super excited, I've had my tickets for about three weeks now and I am literally counting down the hours until Friday. I will post an updated report once I have watched the film.

Just to keep you going until then... Potter Puppet Pals!!

Bye for now!

Keeping a Journal?

So how many of us keep a journal now? A proper old fashioned, written journal? I know I definitely don't, I've always wanted to keep a proper diary, since I could remember and I've always been rubbish and never knew what to write, or just forgot all together! However I have now decided I want to document my life, especially as it's my final year at uni, I think it will be a nice thing to look back on in a few years.

I'm going to get that fab new Moleskine notebook with Snoopy on the front! If anything is going to make me keep a diary that will! I also intend to get Wreck this Journal in the hope that if I ever forgot to write something down that will jog my creativity!

I'm going to start it now but it's sort of an early New Years resolution! So hopefully some people may start a diary, I think having some things in a real hard copy rather than just on the computer is quite a nice thing to do!

Bye for now!

Hello again!! And a NOTD!

Hello everyone!

I keep starting my blog with the intention of keeping it up and then life gets in the way and I totally forget about it! I do fully intend to keep it going this time but lets just start one post at a time!

Anyway I am now in my final year of my degree so totally snowed under but I feel quite positive about everything, it's nice to have the end in sight, plus once I'm finished I'm off to Orlando which is even better!!

In the past few months I've become quite obsessed with nail colours, i've acquired loads of different ones so I think i'll be doing a few NOTD as the months go on! So for my first one it is the turn of OPI Sparkle-licious.

It's a beautiful shade, I did find that it needed a base coat so I used Topshop Big Smoke, which is a mink colour. I decided to apply three coats, I don't think it needed three coats but I wanted the extra glitter, and I LOVE it!! It's very easy to apply, looks absolutely fabulous and has so far lasted really well, I would totally recommend it!

So this is a short and sweet first post back, but I fully intend to add more as the weeks go on, with a bit of this and that!

Bye for now!
